In these 4 minutes I invite you to reflect on how to:
Force yourself into uncomfortable situations
So you don't end up being 50 years old with
The emotional maturity of a 15 year old.
Dan Koe’s quote, but you can find plenty of similar ideas on the web.
The year is about to come to an end. Feeling comfortable or uncomfortable?
For the folks who landed a job and/or maintained a long-term relationship and/or are mentally good, what a year!
For the team who is learning, growing, living but also struggling, YOU’VE GOT THIS!
For those who believe in gods and demons, depending on where you are in the world, you may be celebrating soon!
For people who make goals, time to keep things on track! And there’s where I come.
How has this year been for you? What did you achieve, what you didn’t?
What made you stuck into certain things? Where do you see yourself now?
What’s different, still the same or needs to change?
What did you do to make things work? Maybe you got 10, 20, 50 specific goals?
I usually consider them to be intrapersonal, professional, interpersonal, academic, and financial goals. You will likely find lots of articles online on how to make your plans. Looking back, I feel like I drowned. I lost, grieved, confused and hurt myself. I dug a big, endless tunnel. I struggled, sacrificed, and got stuck in situations.
I lost my breath, preoccupied myself too much, wandered, wondered, and it felt painful. I started the year with high social energy levels, then experienced a mid-year shortage, and finally, a month of living experiences that touched me from head to toe although cold winter had a calling. I traveled as much as I could but then I had an inner feeling telling me to stop for longer periods. Professionally I learned the value of being transparent as oftentimes most digital nomads should be in their residency country but we end up traveling somewhere else. An Indian project didn't work out XXXXX
Vlore is the 111th city I’m visiting in a year. Or living!
1+1+1 = <3 and USA Today’s Numerology tells me “a new journey of self is on the horizon” with “confidence, motivation and independence”, to go on that blind date, to achieve new professional goals. Seems like everyone gets these!?
46642 kms in 12 months and 37 different cultures in between, and Earth’s circumference is 40 075 km.
Olten was the place I've been the most. 10 times.
After 14 flights, 74 trains, 69 buses, 41 urban connections, I learned the world provides us with limitless, endless experiences but we have to choose which ones we will end up living!
Throughout this time I’ve been considered to come from different countries and encompassed nationalities from being a Latin American (no specific place) to Pakistani to Palestinian, Spaniard and French. Last but not least, a Brazilian, when meeting Brazilians. In Lisbon as well, ele fala brasileiro? [Does he speak Brazilian (Portuguese)?].
Books got me covered from Glennon Doyle to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Music-wise, Deezer tells me that I’ve got a year of music from R&B, bossa nova and soul to jazz and pop. But I’m going to talk more about music in the next chronicle. As of now, Ella Yelich-O'Connor tells me:
No shirt, no shoes, only my features
Forget all of thе tears that you've cried
It's a new state of mind
Turn it on in a new kind of bright
It's solar
RIP. Addressed to a time when I used to say Kia Ora.
I almost became Woke, but now I’m wondering how to awaken.
On a Journey to become awakened.
